- I love the freedom and speed of cycling and it's easy on my knees!
- About Me:
- About three years ago, I decided I was sick and tired of feeling fat and lazy! I had been an athlete my entire youth and my early twenties got the best of me...So when I got back from living in Italy, I took a job at Alameda Bicycle, saved my bike-shop-salary pennies and bought a brand new Roubaix Pro and trained for my first AIDS/LifeCycle, a 7 day 585 mi ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for HIV & AIDS services. Today, 35lbs lighter, fitter and stronger than when I was a high school athlete, I work for Specialized, I've participated in 3 AIDS/LifeCycles and many centuries, and I've recently helped co-found a brand-new all women's development race team here in the San Francisco Bay Area called Code 3 Racing. I've also begun to race road (Cat 4) and cyclocross (Cat C) this year and I'm hooked. I've podiumed 3 of 4 'cross races in my first season!
