Sweet! New Riders Club Site Features!
posted by RoubaixRider at 02:21 PM on April 12, 2007
Welcome to the updated Riders Club website! We've listened carefully to all of you, and so you'll notice a few new things. Take a minute to look around, we hope you like what you'll see!
First, there is a new tab across the top navigation called "Riders" - it's your gateway to finding other club members near you, or like you, or both! Check it out!
Second, club members now have an on-site message box, so you can send notes to other club members directly - no personal email address required! Want to find more about a ride? Send a note directly to the organizer! Want to set up a ride with someone? Drop them a line and then get out there!
In your profile, you can now also provide more in-depth descriptions of your bike(s), so if you want to share more info about the bike you love so much, go for it!
Also new for Premium members: your profile has been expanded to include your own journal page on the Specialized Riders Club site. Just click the "Create my Journal" link on the right side of the page when you're logged in. This is your own Specialized blog! Sweet! Then, check out your member profile page for more info on the new ways you can get involved and be a part of the community.
Coming soon: Premium journal posts will allow you to add video and audio files! Not only that, but we've got some other tricks up our sleeves that we are pretty excited about, so stay tuned for MORE!
So try it out, and let us know what you think!

Great! I've been wanting some new features and it's great to hear there is even more in the works! Does any other bike manufacturer have anything like this?

Is there a customer care email? I can't find it anywhere in the site. I'd like to give a heads up about your distributor in my area (Belgium). Dealer in Tervuren has been very good but the supplier/distributor very dissapointing: I got my Rockhopper a couple of months ago and I'm utterly happy with it. Your marketing on the BG equipment (shoes and gloves) convinced me to stick to specialized on the equipment (I'm not a brand driven person). Supplier told my dealer 1 week delivery time, they didn't deliver the products when they said they will. Another week passed and they said end of week I'll have it. They didn't deliver again. Maybe my order is not that important but for sure is 3 times harder to make a new client than keeping an existing one. Well, in my case and with so much offer (with similar features to the Specialized BG) around I might as well look somewhere else next time I want to buy equipment. Thanks

New comer to the Santa Cruz area. Moved up from San Diego for work. The mountain riding is awesome, but I'm a roadie by nature. Any takers? Just started racing road last year, so I'm listed as cat 5. I can ride 3's if people around me are intellegent bike handlers.

Loving the club! Would also love to join as a 'premium member' - dig the shirt and the anniversary book - but unfortunately outside of the US we can't join! You follow the links through to the checkout and it can't dispatch outside of US... Come on guys, please we wana play in the UK too :0)
