Tour of CA : Stage 4 - Bettini Wins!

What a day! Rain, hail, a little bit of sunshine, and 123 miles of epic California Coastline! The angel appeared at the summit of Big Sur, and the rain literally stopped for the 30 minutes she was there. The sun broke through, the riders crested the climb, and (seriously) the rain started the second the trailing riders passed her. Whether it was just good timing, or something more divine, we have no idea. But we're not complaining!
But then, it was the crazed finishline sprint that made the day. Paolo Bettini took the stage by about the width of a nose hair, and crossed the line victorious. Check the rooftop photo - it was unbelievably close!
Tomorrow, the time trial in Solvang. Stay tuned for more!
